Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Emergency-Plumber.online (the “Site”) handles personal information when people browse our plumbing directory, create business-owner accounts, submit or correct listings, and contact the Site team. For questions or privacy requests, email info@emergency-plumber.online.

1. Information we collect

The information involved depends on what you do on the Site:

  • Account information: name, email address, sign-in credentials, account-verification information, and profile details provided by a business owner.
  • Business listings: business names, services, descriptions, locations or service areas, contact methods, websites, and photographs or other material submitted for publication.
  • Corrections and support: your email address, the affected listing or page, and the details you send when reporting an error, requesting removal, or contacting the Site team.
  • Technical and usage information: browser and device information, IP address, requested pages, approximate location inferred from technical data, and activity relevant to analytics, security, or preventing abuse.

Please do not submit passwords by email, payment card information, medical records, or other sensitive details that are unnecessary for a directory inquiry or business profile.

2. Public business profiles and private account details

The directory is designed to show business information publicly. A published profile may display the business name, listed services, business phone number, website, city or region, and any additional contact or address details made public through the Site’s settings. Public details may be found and indexed by search engines.

A business-owner account email or other private account detail is not automatically the same as the public contact email shown on a listing. Business owners should review what they choose to publish, and everyone should check that information submitted about another person or business can be shared lawfully.

3. How we use information

  • Operate search, location browsing, business listings, and account features.
  • Authenticate business owners, protect accounts, and review listing submissions.
  • Answer support emails and handle correction, privacy, or removal requests.
  • Keep directory records reasonably accurate and identify abuse or technical problems.
  • Understand how the Site is used so we can improve navigation, content, and performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes when necessary.

4. Google Analytics and cookies

The Site uses Google Analytics through a Google tag to understand visitor activity, such as pages visited, general usage patterns, and how people navigate the directory. Google Analytics can use cookies and similar identifiers and may receive technical information about your visit. Learn more from Google’s explanation of how it uses data from partner websites.

WordPress and its account tools also use cookies or related technologies to keep users signed in, support authentication, and help protect forms against misuse. Hosting, security and performance systems may process technical request data and operate their own necessary technologies.

You can manage cookies through browser settings. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking certain cookies can affect account features. For questions about analytics choices or to exercise privacy rights that may apply to you, contact us using the email address on this page.

5. When information is shared

Information intentionally included in a published business listing is available to visitors and may be accessed by search engines. Service providers that help host, protect, maintain, measure, or deliver the Site and its email may process information for those functions. Google processes relevant site-usage data when Google Analytics is enabled.

We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address abuse, legal claims, security incidents, or protection of rights. We do not treat a public business listing as permission to expose unrelated private account information.

6. Contacting independent plumbing businesses

The Site provides business contact links and directory information; it is not the contractor performing the job. When you call, email, or open a listed business’s website, information you provide directly to that provider is handled under the provider’s own practices. The Site does not control how that business keeps estimates, appointment details, or customer records.

7. Storage and retention

Account and public listing records are maintained while needed to provide directory and account functions, or as required for security, administration, disputes, and legal obligations. Support messages, server records, backups, and requests can have different retention periods.

The Site’s directory software includes retention controls for reviewed, closed correction and related requests. Unreviewed requests may remain available for manual review. A request to remove a public listing or account does not necessarily erase information immediately from search engines, backups, or systems maintained by third parties.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

You may ask about the personal information associated with your account, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion of information when applicable. Business owners can also use available account features to update profile details. For incorrect public listings, use the correction/removal form on the relevant profile or contact us.

Send your request to info@emergency-plumber.online, including the relevant listing URL or account email and an explanation of the change requested. We may need to verify your identity or authority before giving access to, correcting, or deleting information. Some requests may be subject to legal exceptions.

Privacy rights differ by jurisdiction. Where a law such as the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to the Site and your information, you may have additional rights, including to know, correct, delete, or opt out of certain sharing or sale of personal information. Contact us to exercise any rights that apply to you. We will not ask you to waive rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.

9. Security

We use website and account security measures intended to limit unauthorized activity. No internet service can guarantee complete security. Keep account credentials confidential and tell us if you suspect your account or listing information has been misused.

10. Information about children

This directory is intended for people looking for plumbing services and businesses managing service information; it is not designed for children under 13. If you believe information about a child was submitted through the Site, contact us so we can review the situation.

11. Other websites and services

Business profiles may link to independent websites and third-party tools. Their privacy practices are not controlled by this Site. Review their notices before giving them additional personal or payment information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as technology, data practices, or legal requirements change. The latest version will appear here, with additional notice when required.

13. Contact us
